Palomino
Palomino is a white grape
that is a native of Spain
and used in the production of fine sherries. It is a variety that
is used especially for the dry light Fino
sherries and which thrives on the "albariza", the
chalk soils.
Palomino is also grown in South
Africa, Australia
and California and is used almost exclusively to make fortified wines.
